After the Great Migration, African Americans had very few labor union representation.
Many even worked actively to exclude African Americans.
However, The Brotherhood of Sleeping car Porters, founded by A Phillip Randolph, which represented almost all African Americans.
The union was exceptionally successful, winning very significant benefits, such as shorter working hours, increased wages, etc.
